GICLEÉ
Giclee reproductions use pigments in various states to achieve brilliant and long lasting work. Artists have painted with pigments for centuries with the purpose of creating fade resistant and saturated, thick colors. Digital pigment printing uses archival brand name papers, canvas and inks.
Technical Expertise
Kolibri’s dedication to quality goes hand-in-hand using the industry standard Epson Surecolor P10000 printer with eight-color Epson UltraChrome K3® with Vivid Magenta pigment which remains stable for over 200 years (by study of Wilhelm Research Institute).
Museum Quality
Kolibri is synonymous with quality. Which is why we always use the highest quality inks for gicleé printing. Quality In Every Step
-
PAPER & CANVAS
Canvas giclee prints produced on archival fine art canvas extend an artist's creative options and allows digital creators a method of printing that is unparalleled. Watercolor, pastel artists and photographers alike have discovered the beauty and marketability of fine art paper giclees (also called watercolor paper giclees). Rich, saturated colors; deep dark tones and finely nuanced light tones; and the look and feel of an actual watercolor or pastel painting.
-
PROOFING
When supplied with original art, we will scan it, edit the artwork, and make color proofs to be certain that each reproduction is indistinguishable to the original. Every component is checked daily to ensure accuracy and quality.

FINISHES
Our unique combination of experience, skill-set and equipment gives us the ability to add special finishes to a printed fine art edition such as texture brushstrokes, metallic colors, protective uv varnish, and glitters. Kolibri can also apply these techniques to digital giclée prints. The result is a mixed-media fine art print using old world printing techniques and the newest digital technology.
