Do you like to paint or want to learn? Want to improve? Well, Kolibri Art Gallery has a solution.

Painting classes are held in our beautiful 10,000 sq. ft. art gallery located in The Avenue of the Peninsula Mall across from the Regal 13 Cinemas in Rolling Hills Estates every Thursday, Friday and Saturday with few exceptions. They usually start around 10:00 A.M. with most classes ending around 1:00 P.M. Parking is easy and free.

Classes usually consist of anywhere from one to 10 students. You will be provided with easels, lights, chairs, etc. You bring your paint, brushes and canvas, paper or board. The ambience in the gallery with its 25 foot ceilings and elaborate lighting system and natural light, combined with beautifully framed art by some of the top-selling artists in the country, provides you with inspiration to paint your own masterpiece!

Students can work on whatever subject matter they choose and in styles such as impressionism, realism, surrealism, etc. Learn to paint with oil, and acrylic on paper, canvas or board. Work at your own pace under the supervision of portrait painter Diedre Hopkins Burke. All ages at various levels from beginners on are welcome.

And when you’ve finished your painting, you have the convenience of bringing it to our custom framing department within the gallery. Our master framer has 20 years experience and can offer you an exceptional choice of quality frame styles to fit your budget and decor.
